Women’s Rights and Mining is a collaborative effort of NGOs, researchers and government organisations to secure commitments from key stakeholders in the mining sector to address key gender concerns. Since 2017 the working group developed guidance materials such as the 10 DO’s Fact Sheets for different minerals sector audiences. The working group also organised policy-influencing events, including at the OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Women Rights and Mining furthermore jointly advocated for gender equality integration into various international standards and codes of conduct.
